Getting Ready for Your Boudoir Shoot

Congratulations! You have decided to take the leap to have your very own boudoir photo shoot. Smart girl!

I know you are most likely a little bit nervous. That’s ok. Its hard to know what to expect but believe me when I say you are beautiful…this is a chance to feel it, capture it and ROCK IT! For most of us, this is a once in a lifetime event so feel free to pamper yourself—you deserve it!

I am also sure you have a lot of questions…

Here are a few tips.

Wear whatever you feel confident in. You can wear as much or as little as you like.

The possibilities are endless. A few ideas…

Classic push-up bra and panties set

Lingerie of any kind

Vintage full length slip

Man’s dress shirt or uniform shirt or hat

Sports team clothing

Bustier or corset

Sexy dress

Jeans and bra (or topless)

Wrapped in just a sheet

Boy shorts and tank

· Don’t forget the accessories – shoes, jewelry, stockings and hair accessories!!!!

· Be careful in the sun in the days leading up to your shoot to avoid getting burned.

· Avoid fake tanning prior to your shoot as the lighting can often make your skin appear orange.

· Avoid harsh spa treatments the day before your shoot as they may leave your skin red and irritated.

· I highly recommend professional make-up but you can do your own. Be sure to bring your make-up with you for touch-ups throughout the shoot. Makeup should be applied more heavily than normal. Also I highly recommend false lashes as these add an extra oomph. You can pick-up a pair at Wal-mart or any drug store for around $5 including the adhesive.

· Do your nails. You do not need a manicure but at least make sure both your finger and toe nails are photo ready.

· Some women think they would be more comfortable with a friend along to watch but I do not recommend it because in most cases it ends up making you more self-conscious.

*** Wear loose fitting clothing to your session to avoid marks on your skin and I recommend bringing along a robe to cover up between sets if you like.

NEW Musician and Artist Sessions

Announcing Moxie Mama Studios' NEW artist package - just $200.00


This package is specially designed for artists and musicians. A two hour session which can be divided between locations including the studio. No travel fees within 45 miles of Elysburg. The package also includes pre-session consultation, full editing and artistic post-processing to complete the "feel". Whether it is sweet and nostalgic, simple B&W, edgy - whatever - we can do it! Also if you are a visual artist and need better images of your work for submission - we can do that as well! This package includes a full size digital download of all completed images with commercial use license. What does this mean? You can use the images in press, for promotion, for CD covers - whatever so long as credit is given.

For visual artists, this session could be photos of you at work and with finished product. We all know that art lovers love to see the "artist at work".

This is just a hand-full of images from a recent shoot.

You could have your pictures taken by a photographer but wouldn't you rather work with a fellow artist who can make your visions come to life in photographs.

Most people know that I do fine art photography but many pepole do not realize that I am also a portrait photographer. While I specialize in in boudoir, pin-up, fine art nudes, maternity, newborns and fantasy shoots, I am always available for weddings, engagements, pets, seniors, families and children and well - just about anything you can image. I am an artist and I love a challenge. So if you have an idea or a concept - please do not hesitate to shoot me an e-mail. Do you want to be a fairy or float away with a balloon? We can make it an image you can treasure forever.

So I am looking to really expand Moxie Mama Studios and I am recruiting you to help. I already know YOU like my work, so why not tell your friends?

If someone you refer books a full session ($100 or more) now through July 30th, you will receive 3 8x10 sheet prints FREE with your session. This is a $45 value. An 8x10 sheet is 1 8x10, 2 5x7 or 8 wallets. Keep in mind that the sessions can take place anytime through December 30, 2011 but must be booked (scheduled) by July 30th, 2011. Please note that a 25% non-refundable deposit which is applied towards the session fee if required at time of booking.
